Medications

It is very important that you let Focus Admissions Staff know what medications you are currently taking at home, including over the counter medications.  Your Admissions Counselor will instruct you as to those medications that you need to bring with you.  Your medications should be in the original prescription bottles.  Pill planners or other storage containers or not permitted. If you are using herbal medications or vitamins, those should be brought to us in new, unopened bottles. We ask that you bring a 30 day supply of your prescription medication.  If during your stay your home medication requires a re-fill, Focus Healthcare medical staff will assist you with that process. Any subsequent costs/co-pay will be your financial responsibility. Please bring your prescription card if it separate from you health insurance card. The nursing staff will hold all medications.  Your physician will order medications that are appropriate for your medical condition and current treatment plan. As a patient at Focus Healthcare, you should know what medications you take and why you take them. Medication errors are the most common health care mistakes. If you do not recognize a medication, verify with the nurse that it is for you. It is permissible and encouraged for you to ask questions with regard to your medications. We encourage you to be an active participant in the medication management system. Written information is available for any medication that a patient may be taking.

We encourage you not to bring expensive clothes or valuables.

You are responsible for your own things.

Focus does not reimburse for lost or damaged personal belongings.

Items left at the facility over 30-days are considered a donation.
