Family Treatment Program Overview

Focus Healthcare of Tennessee is pleased to partner with Thomas and Thomas Consulting Group, LLC for a monthly two and a half day family support and treatment program. Individuals who have family involvement in treatment have better success with sobriety. Part of what families will learn in this process is that addiction is a boundary failure, which is why treatment offers so much hope. Boundary systems can be learned and improved. Therapeutic activities for the family program are scheduled all day Friday, Saturday, and until noon on Sunday. Sunday afternoon will be set aside for therapeutic visitation.

Following this workshop, participants will be able to do the following: educate family members on the nature of the addictive process, understand how the disease impacts families, engage family members in interactive conjoint group process with patients, teach healthy communication skills, and educate family members about boundaries, family roles, and codependency issues.

Families often ask us for statistics on addiction recovery. Our answer is this: Recovery rate is 100% when the treatment plan is followed 100%. Family involvement is part of the treatment plan.
